Houston is a large city with plenty communities. It has the best food, a lot of shopping options, and the largest medical center.

Houston is a multicultural and inexpensive place to live in. It has it’s big city issues but also has the benefits with world class medical facilities, varied dining options and a relatively mild weather (summers can be humid and hot, though). Housing is still affordable and the suburbs have good school districts. Job and career opportunities are galore in multiple arenas. Not a touristy city, but has lots of attractions within a couple of hours. Overall, very livable.

As a whole, Houston also represents the state’s motto: Friendship. There is a large community of helpers and servers. Volunteers are always there to help. And there is never a shortage of kindness. Colleges in Houston welcome all kinds of people from all different backgrounds to join in their mission to educate and help and service others. One of the renown programs, the Bonners Program, helps provide service to the less fortunate population in Houston. They offer academic tutoring, health care and education, and food aid to those in need.

The University of Houston is a D1 school known for medicine and education. Houston also is home to Rice University, located close to the Houston Zoo. If one ever were to get sick or injured the Houston Methodist Center will be there to help. This hospital is ranked top 20 nationally in the United States. My city is the fourth largest city in the United States and constantly growing. Houston is known for three major businesses. They are the ‘Medical Center’ which people travel from all over the world to be treated for different illnesses, NASA otherwise known as Space Center and the Oil and Gas industries.
