Cotonou is the most populated city in Benin. Someone moving to Cotonou should be ready to withstand the heat of the sun. The biggest market in West Africa is in Cotonou. It’s the most beautiful city in Benin. Cotonou is the economic capital of Benin.
To visit Cotonou you need to have a little understanding of the french culture and language because French is the official language. It can be so wonderful visiting the beaches in and around Cotonou, having a taste of refreshing Coconut water in the afternoon, or the “maquis bars” for a cool beer.
