Tips for Moving and Visiting

Ikirun is a very peaceful town with relatively available basic amenities. It has a booming economy all thanks to civil servants and businessmen.
My city of Ikirun is one of the largest in Osun state. It has two of the largest markets in the state and is very close to the state capital, plus the people here are friendly. It’s not a busy city like some. Osun state polytechnic is very close. Security is tight there because we have 2 police stations.
My city is a local trading centre (yams, corn, cassava, pumpkins, beans, and okra) at the northern edge of the main cocoa belt; it serves as a collecting point for cotton and tobacco, the chief cash crops. Cotton weaving is a traditional local industry, but the town of Oshogbo, 14 miles southeast, is the more important textile centre.
