Beautiful weather. Hurricanes really don’t affect Jacksonville like other cities in FL. You will need a car or be ok with UBER as public transportation is pretty useless. Jacksonville communities are very spread apart.

Jacksonville, Florida, is a city that is situated close to the coast. Hurricanes that threaten the area are usually not a major issue, however. Historically speaking, many of these low-pressure systems have only skirted the cost. Caution is advised, however, due to the risk of flooding if one of these storms were to strike here.

To people living outside the southeastern region of the United States, the weather and climate stand out as an important factor to consider, before moving to Jacksonville.
