Beautiful weather. Hurricanes really don’t affect Jacksonville like other cities in FL. You will need a car or be ok with UBER as public transportation is pretty useless. Jacksonville communities are very spread apart.

If moving to Jacksonville Florida, USA you should know that we are surrounded by water. We are on the Atlantic Ocean. We have 9 rivers, one to cross in any direction to get to town. It is helpful to ask which one to take when getting directions.

The city is heavily influenced by African American history. Black people have contributed to the performing arts, music, and architecture of Jacksonville, Florida. Black people’s contributions and influence on the city includes the Ritz Theater, which used to be known as “The Harlem of the South” from the 1920s to the 1960s.

The city of Jacksonville is arguably one of the largest cities within the state of Florida. The city has its own professional football team, a hockey team, and a minor league basketball team. There’s also a lively farmers market that takes place in the downtown area every weekend, and it’s one of the biggest highlights of living here.

Jacksonville is a pretty interesting city, there are great restaurants, shopping plazas, and beaches galore. Usually when you’re looking to go out there is about a 20-minute drive. Considering the little bit of commute, it is definitely worth the trip no matter the destination, the scenery on the way is guaranteed to be absolutely gorgeous.

Jacksonville, Florida, has a wide range of people from different parts of the world including Albanians, Jamaicans, Haitians, Russians, Puerto Ricans, and Dominicans, so there is a very wide variety of people and their different languages, accents, and cultures. There is a yearly fair known as the World of Nations, where you can “go around the world” and try foods from different places and watch people perform the arts from their home countries. One gets to talk to the people at each booth and they tell you about the food they are serving and some of its history as well as how the dish was made.

Jacksonville is a large city with a small-town feel. There are two military bases in the metropolitan area, and the beaches are a great place to sunbathe and surf. Saint Augustine, the oldest settlement in the continental US, is nearby containing a preserved Spanish fort and a wealth of local shopping and dining.

To people living outside the southeastern region of the United States, the weather and climate stand out as an important factor to consider, before moving to Jacksonville. The humidity is very high and summer temperatures get very high as well. Also, the time between July and September is called, “Hurricane Season”, and new residents must prepare themselves for lots of stormy conditions. The final important aspect about Jacksonville is the vastness of the city. With the area stretching out to around 875 sq. mi., Jacksonville is one of the biggest cities in the United States.

Jacksonville is one of the biggest cities in America. Many would was say this city is big for no reason, but in reality there is a lot here. There are a couple beaches you can go to in less than an hour. There are a few museums to go to that are loads of fun. If you are moving to Jacksonville, FL you should consider the climate difference compared to your current city and state. We have amazing amenities such as our beaches and family friendly parks. Jacksonville is approximately three hours or less away from Orlando, FL. Which is home to Disney World.

The Clara White Museum is dedicated to Clara English White, a former slave who used to feed hungry neighbors, and as a part of her legacy the Clara White Mission was open to help feed the homeless as well as providing housing for veterans. African Americans founded the American Beach, which was were they used to go and relax during the 1940s.

Jacksonville is a wonderful place if you are interested in a lively city. We are best known for our beaches. Many people here love to surf, swim, and walk along the shore. There are also some great family-owned businesses you can visit. However, we are a city that sleeps. Most stores and restaurants close by 9PM. If you like to stay up late, it’s best to remain home.
