A person moving to Louisville, Kentucky should consider its proximity to other major cities, its unique culture, and its diversity of residents as positives for living here. Louisville resides in less than a day’s drive of many of the United States Most popular Southern and Midwestern cities, such as Chicago, Atlanta, and Nashville. The city has a unique culture, mirrored by its many dynamic local food restaurants which are owned and operated by a variety of people from different cultural backgrounds. Its food scene is a testament to the warmth of the people and its inclusion for all types of people. These factors, combined with its mountainous landscape and rich history, weave together a beautiful tapestry of a city.

Louisville is a foodie destination! Louisville is a fantastic place to live if you love coffee; there is a ton of third wave coffee shops (Quills and Sunergos are my faves). World-renowned bourbon, amazing local restaurants, beautiful hiking and parks make Louisville a great place to live. Unfortunately, the public transportation here sucks, so be warned.

Louisville is a wonderful city to raise a family. It is big enough to include wonderful events, shopping, and restaurants but small enough to make it feel like you have a community within your neighborhood. One of my favorite things about my city are the amazing public parks with walking tracks, sports fields, and trails for hiking. One negative thing about moving to Louisville is that it can be tricky to get your kids into a good public school depending on where you live.

If someone moves to Louisville, Kentucky, it is a very eclectic city. In Louisville, there are many types of places and people. Some people love Louisville for the variety of restaurants and shops. Others love watching the horse races, which is the activity that Louisville is most known for.
