It is relatively not the safest town, has dilapidated buildings structures and some of the worst roads, cannot drive 5km without getting into a pot hole. The people there are still friendly strangely.

Be very cautious and avoid travelling on foot at night. There are malls and shopping centers outside of town. The CBD, particularly between Shell Garage and Just On, is a crime hot-spot. Try to avoid it and be aware of your surroundings if you need to be there. Otherwise it’s a busy town with all the shops you will need.

Umtata is a bustling city, the economy is growing and so is the population. This means high traffic volumes in a underdeveloped place. Inefficient public administration due to corrupt governance means you will spend a lot of time complaining about simple municipal services that could be functioning better. A great place to introduce new products and services and make lots of money. Not so great if you want a peaceful existential experience.

Someone moving to Mthatha should be expectant of and comfortable living in a rural environment. It is a conservative town, with a predominantly African population. Most people in Mthatha are from the Xhosa tribe. Mthatha dwellers are also largely subsistence farmers and live off off homegrown livestock.

It is a very diverse city, with a clean and friendly environment. There are a lot of black people and whites who are both not racist. It would be a great experience for someone to move to my city as it is also a big city that accommodates a huge number of people.

Mthatha is a small town that is located in the Eastern Cape. It is very congested because of the large number of people that reside here. It is where the first South African president was born, Nelson Mandela. A large number of people speak IsiXhosa. It is also surrounded by rural areas.

Mthatha is a quaint place in the Eastern Cape province, the land of the amaXhosa tribe and home of the father of our nation Mr. Nelson Mandela among other freedom fighters. It is considered as the countryside, anyone looking to escape the city life would much rather prefer being in my hometown.

Mthatha has a mall, museum and a fun place for kids to play. People in my city are so welcoming and lovely. It is a city of love. There is a place we call Langeni where trees are grown for factories that manufacture furniture and papers. Every person you meet is smiling. We greet people we don’t even know on the streets.
