Guwahati, the capital city of Assam, is the most important city in North-East India in terms of its population size, transport connectivity and strategic location. It has a beautiful landscape with hills and vast Brahmaputra. Guwahati is famous for the ancient temple of Kamakhya Devi and its mystic experiences. The place is also mentioned as the capital of Narakasura and Bhagadatta in the Mahabharata.

The city of Guwahati is the “Gateway to North-East India”. It has a vibrant urban built form with accessible public transportation, furnished residential buildings, well placed market places and shopping malls, and tons of recreational activity centers such as movie theaters and parks. Guwahati is a million city which receives a copious amount of precipitation. It is also hot and humid during much of the year and diseases like malaria and dengue are not uncommon. Traffic can be tedious and getting to workplaces a bit of a daily battle. In spite of these difficulties, it’s my home and where my bread and butter comes from.

Guwahati, my city in has the river Brahmaputra flowing through it. It is the biggest city of North-East India. It has very simple and friendly people who prefer a slow paced life. It is mostly a non-vegetarian population. Food in this city is amazing. The city is easily accessible by flight, train or by road.

Guwahati is one of the most important cities of Assam. The state capital, Dispur is in Guwahati.

From a scenic point of view, Guwahati has several hill ranges and numerous tourist attractions, including the famous Kamakhya Temple, Deepor Beel, several parks, the State Museum, and the river, Brahmaputra, which flows through the heart of the city.

From an academic point of view, quite a few reputed schools and colleges, are within the city, and, on the outskirts, of the city. From the career standpoint, quite a range of jobs are available, as a lot of national and international companies, have branches, in the city.

Culturally, the city is diverse. People belonging to various different religion, and races, reside here. Some of the most popular languages, used in Guwahati, include, Assamese, Hindi, and English. From the lifestyle standpoint, the cost of living is fairly average. Several modes of transportation, both public, and private, are available. Numerous supermarkets, restaurants, and hospitals, are within the city too.

It is the gateway to the whole north-eastern states of India. It is surrounded by hills which provide a pleasant view but the weather is very humid during the monsoons. It provides all amenities of a modern city life with the usual traffic jams. Life does come to a standstill due to waterlogging even after a downpour of 30 minutes.

it’s a crowded place and you are mostbe going to stuck in traffic for long. But, it’s still a great place. You will find everything you need very easily near you as there are a lot of shops literally everywhere and the street food is delicious, you should try that out sometimes.

Guwahati is not a too big city but have lots of traffic problems everywhere. Communication is good with lots of Public city buses also there are can like uber, ola also there is bike travelling facility with Rapido. People are very helpful and you will not face any difficulty when you will move here.
