Guwahati is a million city which receives a copious amount of precipitation. It is also hot and humid during much of the year and diseases like malaria and dengue are not uncommon. Traffic can be tedious and getting to workplaces a bit of a daily battle. In spite of these difficulties, it’s my home and where my bread and butter comes from.

It is the gateway to the whole north-eastern states of India. It is surrounded by hills which provide a pleasant view but the weather is very humid during the monsoons. It provides all amenities of a modern city life with the usual traffic jams. Life does come to a standstill due to waterlogging even after a downpour of 30 minutes.

it’s a crowded place and you are mostbe going to stuck in traffic for long. But, it’s still a great place. You will find everything you need very easily near you as there are a lot of shops literally everywhere and the street food is delicious, you should try that out sometimes.
