Silver Spring has an excellent and diverse school system, with programs that will provide for your child’s unique needs. There is a wide selection of activities and outings to be had, with restaurants and shops that represent all cultures and people who are warm and friendly. Silver Spring it very much a community, one that helps it’s neighbors and provides a sense of belonging to all.
Downtown Silver Spring has a very nice pedestrian mall, with a fountain that children can play in during hot summer days. There is also a major transit hub in Silver Spring, which includes the metro train, the MARC train, buses for both county and DC routes, and coming soon, there’ll be a light rail train as well. This makes it very easy to live in a city with all the amenities, while also being able to get to other cities without driving.
