Takoradi is Ghana’s third vibrant city. It is unofficially known as the oil city since the discovery of oil in the region in which it is situated. ‘Taadi’ as the indigenes affectionately call it, has it own unique lingua franca with new terminologies emerging every now and then.
Sekondi-Takoradi is in the Western Region of Ghana which is in West Africa. It is also called Oil city because it is known for the extract of oil. It has tourists sites for attraction. It’s a place to have fun when boredom is killing you slowly in your homes.
Takoradi is a beautiful city and anyone moving to this place should know…
1. It’s a port city.
2. It’s has the biggest roundabout in West Africa with a market inside it.
3. This city has a sister city named Sekondi about five km away hence, making them the only twin cities in Ghana.
It is a peaceful city. The people there are hospitable. There are good places to visit with the family. Masqueraders parade the city during Christmas. They are also religious. Our food too is very delicious. A lot of people like to party at weekends and are also dedicated to their work.
Takoradi is the third largest city in the Western Region of Ghana. It used to known as Sekondi-Takoradi or the Twin City. It does at the coastal belt in the southern part of Ghana. The main occupation of the indigenous people in Takoradi is fishing. The are vast amount of mineral resources buried in the bowels the land of Takoradi. Minerals such as gold, diamond, manganese etc. Takoradi is such a nice place.
A cool place which will leave you nostalgic if not. A serene and commendable place like Atlantic Premier Hotel will make you feel at home. Not just the name, the room services, the playgrounds, the warm customer services, buffet and restaurant serves et all are all worth experiencing for anyone who wishes to affirm to my words that indeed my city has the best.
