Some like to say that Rawalpindi is incredibly boring. It was an important trading post in the past, and after Pakistan was founded, became inundated with refugees from Kashmir and eventually became an army cantonment. When the capital of Pakistan, Islamabad, was built in the 1960s close to it, Rawalpindi became the more affordable option for people flocking to the capital to find work. Today, Rawalpindi is a melting pot of cultures and languages and is the place to be to get the best of both worlds: affordable living and close proximity to the job opportunities in the capital.

Rawalpindi is commonly known as “Pindi”. It is the fourth largest city of Pakistan. Army Museum, Nawaz Sharif Park, Jinnah Park and Ayub National Park are the famous places in Rawalpindi. Islamabad International Airport is within the city of Rawalpindi. Rawalpindi’s Fatima Jinnah Women University is famous university for women.

Rawalpindi is a good city except for the pollution. It is a main city of Pakistan. It is known as the home of the Pakistani military as the General Headquarters of armed forces of Pakistan are located here.

Rawalpindi has a very friendly environment. There are many housing societies, there are a lot of good institutions for education including; primary, secondary and higher education. The weather is hot in summer. The most suitable time to live is winter. Rawalpindi also has the largest market of Asia known as Tench Bhatta. Most of the military setup is in Rawalpindi.

Rawalpindi is not overpopulated and it has great weather. It’s the fourth largest city of Punjab. It is very much near the capital of Pakistan. One can have many opportunities for the investment. We have army headquarter GHQ in rawalpindi. We have metro bus in rawalpindi. We have wide roads plus we are near to motorway.

Rawalpindi is the tasteful mix of old and new. The central region mostly consists of 100-year old houses and markets and is quite congested. The cantonment area and suburbs are quite well planned and organised. One can find almost any thing from different large and small markets. Shortage of water in most areas of city is a serious problem. People belonging to this city are hospitable and good natured, always ready to help the new residents. Different branches of all the government offices, banks and other organisations are located here.
