Some like to say that Rawalpindi is incredibly boring. It was an important trading post in the past, and after Pakistan was founded, became inundated with refugees from Kashmir and eventually became an army cantonment. When the capital of Pakistan, Islamabad, was built in the 1960s close to it, Rawalpindi became the more affordable option for people flocking to the capital to find work. Today, Rawalpindi is a melting pot of cultures and languages and is the place to be to get the best of both worlds: affordable living and close proximity to the job opportunities in the capital.

Rawalpindi is adjacent to the capital of Pakistan. Being in such a prime location makes it the most desirable place for housing and jobs. Rawalpindi has a huge population featuring inhabitants of different ethnicities and regions. Rawalpindi is surrounded by greenery and beautiful natural scenery, but the heart of the city is dusted and polluted.
