Raleigh is a very affordable city. Between the wages and the housing, you can easy live a comfortable lifestyle close to the city center. It’s a great place to start a family or build a new life for yourself after a career change. It also manages to keep it’s Southern charm while being very cosmopolitan.

Raleigh, known as the City of Oaks, is the capital of North Carolina and the second largest city in the state. The population is diverse and has grown by leaps and bounds in the last 10 years. The proximity to three major universities (NC State, UNC Chapel Hill, and Duke) draws students to the area from all over the world. They graduate and stay for jobs in the Research Triangle, Red Hat, and a burgeoning gaming industry.
