If you are moving to Raleigh, you should try find a place to rent/buy on the North side. It’s very safe, near the airport, close to shopping areas, banks, restaurants, etc. Also close to all IT industry. You must have a vehicle because very few people ride buses here. Unless you live downtown, the business district, you drive everywhere but distances are not too long. I am only 3 miles from all my shopping, banking, eating, etc. needs.

Raleigh, the gorgeously green city of Oaks, is home to some of North Carolina’s top Universities, including NC State and William Peace. The city makes up 1/3 of the “Research Triangle, “along with its sister cities; Durham and Chapel Hill. Raleigh is known for its populous community and bustling commute. Newcomers should expect higher-priced homes and above-average traffic.
