Shingletown, is not really a “town” – there is no town center or a main street. It’s a zipcode-based, long and wide location in far northern California. As it’s in the foothills, depending on the elevation, you will experience between two to four seasons of the year. You’re going to like it if your dream is living off the grid. Shingletown is trying to build some cultural identity by bringing up such unmissable attractions as the newly-established annual Sawdust Festival.
