We have the most spectacular weather. Summers are hot, with occasional thunder showers and winters are extremely mild, with daytime averages of about 17 degrees. Mountain biking, running and hiking are popular at the many nature sites around the area. Schools and private hospitals are excellent.

There are noisy birds that wake us up in the mornings called Hadedas. In springtime, the Jacaranda trees cover the streets with purple flowers. Traffic is the worst in the mornings and evenings. But listening to the radio makes it bearable. If that isn’t something you can tolerate, there is a train available that will get you to work on time.

Centurion is an affluent neighbourhood where the lifestyle can be a bit pricey. Stuff like rentals, utility bills, and groceries are more expensive compared to other popular towns like Midrand. However, to seemingly compensate for this, the neighbourhood is very safe with a very low crime rate. In addition, there are many malls around, so you’re guaranteed to have all the basic amenities close by.

Someone considering moving to my city should know that, public transport is really hard to find; it’s not easy to find friends, and there are no spaza shops around, so you have to go to the nearest supermarket to purchase household essentials. My city is vast and very beautiful, they should know that too.

My city is very dangerous, there is a very high crime rate and some areas are just not safe. It is very important to not get lost and know where you a traveling, so that you don’t unexpectedly land up in the wrong area. Streets are not always clearly marked and can cause one to get lost.
