My city Burnaby is a beautiful place full of things to do. This city has the best mall in all of British Columbia with all your favorite stores. Deer Lake is an amazing park, where you can be in nature in the middle of the city. The transit system is quick and convenient to get all over the city and nearby cities.

Burnaby is not exactly a suburb, but not a bustling city either. Neighborhoods can by busy or quiet, depending on where you are. It is a good city for families, couples, or just a single person setting out on their own. Although having a car is convenient in it own right, the public transportation is very reliable for traveling throughout the city and between neighboring cities.

Burnaby is a beautiful suburban city within close proximity to downtown Vancouver. We have scenic routes that take us to a number of beaches on the Pacific Ocean. There are trails and hikes in our backyard through luscious green forests. If you are not an outdoors person, there are large malls and shopping centres where you can spend your time and money.

I would advise anyone intending to move to Burnaby, in British Columbia, Canada, to be prepared for a lot of uphill walking! It always helps to have a comfortable pair of shoes, comfortable clothes and a light jacket, as the weather can be unpredictable. Carrying a bottle of water is encouraged; most public places have refill stations, but if they don’t, do remember that tap water here is clean! The transit system is great, but unless you have a car, it can be time-consuming to get around, so plan your trips accordingly.

There is a lot of rain in Burnaby, so bring an umbrella. Plan ahead because traffic can be a doozy during rush hour. The surroundings of the city are amazing to explore. Restaurants of all different cultures and styles are present in the city, they are guaranteed to have something new to try.

When moving to Burnaby, British Columbia, you should absolutely consider the cost of living. The price for an apartment is the highest in Canada and can come in at over One Million dollars. Although the cost of living is high, there is a lot that cause people to live in Burnaby. There is the option of going up mountains to hike, ski, or snowboard, and there is the option of going to the ocean or lakes to spend your time there. There are not many places that you can go from mountains to water within a 10-minute drive from the city.
