Kathmandu used to be a city of temples for tourists and a city of dreams for the rural Nepalese. Now, it is more of a concrete jungle undergoing rapid urbanization and population growth. For the people moving here, one should be prepared to seep into the bustle of the city, survive the dusty roads, traffic jam and scarce water.
The city is very nice and the people are very friendly so to speak of. The level of pollution is, however, quite high, so cover your face. This will protect you from the dust and smoke. There are lots of hotels and restaurants. We also have many heritage sites where you can visit.
Kathmandu is a beautiful city with moderate climatic condition but the weather keeps changing so make sure that you always carry an umbrella and a thin jacket. In addition to this, you would also want to carry a mask and a pair of goggles so that you’ll have your lungs and eyes protected from the dust.
