Jammu is the city of temples. It is winter capital of Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory. Native language of Jammu region is Dogri. It was named Jammu after Raja Jambu Lochan. One of the main attraction of Jammu is Raghunath Temple. Yearly millions pilgrims travel to Jammu to pay their homage to Vaishno Devi Temple.
As I live in Jammu city which is in Jammu and Kashmir state of India. As it is ‘The City of Temples’ so I think the best thing about this place is temple. The climate here is hot and humid in June, July, August and some days of September as well.
Jammu is a beautiful city surrounded by Shivalik hills. The city is small but that is an advantage considering the commuting time and traffic. The pollution level is low and the weather is also bearable. Life is simple and if you are someone who enjoys night outs, then this city is not for you.
It has great scenic beauty and great weather to enjoy. It encloses Himalayan ranges and mughal road is worth a visit. It is city of Temples, you can’t ignore the meadows or pastures. It is a very beautiful place to visit especially for people in big cities to gain peace of mind and pleasure.
