Prashant, says: 2023

Mumbai is well connected. Commuting is easy here but time consuming. Depending on where one chooses to reside rentals are on the higher end in places such as Bandra, Lokhandwala, Juhu. As you go further away from main Mumbai, rentals get cheap. Weather is good. Rains are either downpours and incessant rain in the monsoons. There is water logging but it takes no time for the ground to suck it in if the skies give us a break.

Menakshi, says: 2023

If you are moving to Mumbai be prepared for filthy air, lots of traffic and expensive housing.

The city is one of the world’s most crowded, and has some of the world’s most expensive real estate. Each spot of free space is to be seized and defended. Most times, you will simply find yourself thrust along a pedestrian wave.

Mumbai is a well connected city. Still one should be aware of the crowd and especially if you are commuting from local trains it can be way more hectic than expected. As a wanderer there are plenty of places for street shopping for antiques and other accessories. Also, one should try the street food at ‘khau gali’ meaning the ‘food street’.

A person moving to Mumbai must be adjustable to his/her expectations of space. As getting a comfortable and luxurious flat in Mumbai is way beyond a common person’s reach. One must pick up life tips on Mumbai’s trains. The person must also get accustomed to these type of situations. he/she must respect ‘no selfie’ zones.

Mumbai is incredibly busy. Traffic is horrible. The local trains are jam packed. The beaches are beautiful in their own way. The food is impeccable. And the people are extremely helpful. Once you learn to live in the city, it will forever reside in your heart.

The heart of transportation are the local trains. One can reach their desired destination within the least time as the roads are always jammed.

Abhist, says: 2020

My city is very crowded and is a metro city so trains are the most used form of transportation, so you should be prepared for crowded trains and cramped spaces if you do not own a vehicle. If you do, still be prepared for traffic jams and bad roads filled with potholes and unnecessary speed breakers.

In Mumbai, one should be ready to have great experiences including sitting at Marine Drive and having bhutta at Girgaon chowpatty. You can also take a ferry ride from Gateway of India and can admire the beauty of Taj. You can enjoy eating pav bhaji and rabdi.

Mumbai is the capital of Maharashtra. It is an urban cities with modern facilities such as public transport and Metros. The city is near a seashore, and hence has multiple beaches across the city. It it the most highly developed city of India. The living cost, however, is also much higher than the other cities in India.

Mumbai is one of the most developed cities in India. It is an urban city with all the modern facilities available such as public transport a urbanized apartments. Being near the seashore, it has multiple beaches, and there are multiple tourist attractions like the Taj Hotel, and the Gateway of India.

My city is crowded by people, vehicle and many other things. Never expect any personal space while travelling, as people are very close to you even when it is not crowded. Be aware of traffic, as it has caused many to be late at work. There are many street vendors who sell goods at a cheap price which can be further negotiable.

Mumbai offers tremendous opportunities for hard workers but he or she has to accept that space is a constraint and the city is congested and noise pollution is high. Public transport can be relied upon to commute in the city. It is cheap but crowded. People are nice and the weather is not too harsh.

Darshana, says: 2020

Anyone moving to Mumbai should know local train services are the best way to roam the city; they are the lifeline of Mumbai. In addition this is the only city in India which gives you an opportunity to meet almost all of the Bollywood Celebrities.

Anyone moving to Mumbai should know it’s a large, bustling city with a dense population. There is a lot of traffic and most people travel by train or car to get to their destination. As for the living expenses, rent is on the higher side but you can usually buy a complete meal for a couple of dollars. The city has an amazing nightlife and people here are very helpful.

My city is one of the busiest places in India. It’s the business hub and home for Bollywood industry. In Mumbai, transportation is not an issue because there is local train, bus and taxi available for travelling.

Idhant, says: 2020

There are many options for leisure activities in Mumbai, like trekking, museums, etc. It is the financial capital of India and there is no dearth of jobs here especially for IT professionals.

Dinesh, says: 2020

Mumbai is the city of dreams. It is a very beautiful city. The transport is very good from trains to planes and auto. The rain is bad yearly from July to September. Many jobs are here. The price of houses are also decent. It is a very crowded city.

Srividya, says: 2020

Mumbai being a metropolitan city has a fast-paced city life. One will come across people from different walks of life. This city also attracts a large amount of migrant population who come in search of jobs. Hence, there is a varied cuIture and fine cuisine. It is a city that never sleeps. The public transportations are packed with people and road traffic can be a nuisance too sometimes.

My city has a huge population so one should be able to adjust to mingling crowds, long serpentine queues for travel in trains and buses, One has also to adjust to traffic jams, especially during the peak times. However, since Mumbai is also the financial hub of India it also known as the “City that never sleeps”. There is a wonderful nightlife also to be enjoyed.

Mumbai is a fast-paced city. Hordes of people in an densely populated area. Travelling in an overcrowded train is the daily Norm. Different varieties of street found is here. Mumbai-is often called a city which never sleeps, which is true.

Himanshu, says: 2020

Mumbai is a city where people come with the hope to achieve their dreams. There is a constant hustle bustle in the city. It is rightly said that the city never sleeps. The people are driven and passionate. The train at Churchgate which is always crowded is a good representation of that. The people of this city are kind and helpful. Some food items like Vada pav, Medu vada, Misal pav are famous and affordable in this city.

Maansi, says: 2020

The City is one of the busiest in the world. Know traffic conditions here before moving, as should they be sure of the distance between the location of residence and work. On an average, a person could spend approximately one hour to cover a distance of 20 km.

Haseena, says: 2020

they must know about local trains, the downtown of Mumbai the dabbawalas of Mumbai and for eateries they must know that vada pav and pav bhaji are the most popular things eaten in Mumbai and above all Mumbai is the city of skyscrapers.

Ayesha, says: 2020

1. Mumbai is more or less an average city with a pretty fast life, so try to catch up. Mumbai never sleeps.

2. You will need autos and cabs for short distances only since the major areas are well connected by locals and buses. When travelling in public transport, try to board, move and alight quickly. In simple words, move with the crowd, don’t obstruct it.

3. Most of my friends from South India (particularly Tamil Nadu), have difficulty in Hindi. I don’t care if you are against it, but for small things, you will need to learn a bit of Hindi at least for basic communication.

4. Most of your time will go in travelling and prepare yourself for traffic jams when travelling by road.

5. Summers will drench you in sweat, monsoons will drench you in rain (both are abundant) and winters don’t exist.

6. You won’t stay hungry if you have money. You’ll get a meal from Rs. 50 to Rs. 5000 (even more) round the clock.

Mumbai is a wonderful experience in itself (Perhaps you will need to forget your sleep though).

Mumbai is very rightly called ‘The City of Dreams’. People from all walks of life reside here and make a living. This city is known for its hard-working residents, beautiful monsoons and the local trains; but one thing that everyone moving to Mumbai should know we take our street food very seriously.

Kashish, says: 2020

Mumbai is a quick paced densely populated city and moving here from a small town (of any country) it can becoming overwhelming. They need to have accurate maps and know the official fares for public transport. be aware of that living closer to your place of work will save you hours of travel time everyday.

Mustafa, says: 2020

Anyone moving to the city I reside in, must be aware about it being the busiest city in the country. It is an advantage but is also a disadvantage. Considering the peak travel hours and the insane traffic that need to b deal with. to move to a city as such, you must be patient or learn to be patient.

Just as it is said, the city never sleeps. People from literally all kinds of financial backgrounds dwell here. They are busy but will leap to help whenever you need it. Its streets are safer than Delhi but crowded. Local trains are like the veins of Mumbai, a place where struggle is a part of life.

Shikhar, says: 2020

Anyone visiting Mumbai should know people here are very calm and composed. Even if there is an extreme traffic or bad weather, nobody loses their calm. They tend to help each other and live in harmony. There is complete order in the chaos. Also if people wish to visit the tourist places, they should always take the metro rail to reach in time and avoid horrific traffic. Also, note that the city never sleeps. Even at 3:00 a.m. at night, people will be roaming on the road, eating and driving. Hence Mumbai is also termed as the city of dreams in India.

Shilpa, says: 2020

Mumbai is said to be the city of dreams in India, and I think one should must visit it. Mumbai is famous for Gateway of India. Queens Necklace one should see at the night. Local transport of Mumbai are Local Trains, which are said to be the lifelines of the Mumbai.

Ayesha, says: 2020

Mumbai is one of the most congested cities of India. You need to be wary of the excessive traffic jams during peak working hours. The best way of commuting in the city is to use the railway network that sprawls all across the city. The rent rates are maximum in the south of the city and decrease as you keep moving northward towards the suburbs.

Ravikanth, says: 2020

House rental prices are less, there are multiple food joints and multiple ways of transport available easily. Although, it’s far from center of the region, however you can reach to the main city in one hour. including all the cost factors, the cost of living is quite less compared to the rest of the city and this make it one of the preferred areas.

Shreya, says: 2020

Mumbai is a financial center, it’s India’s largest city. Famous for its food, high-end Mall. Mumbai is home to three UNESCO World Heritage Sites: the Elephanta Caves, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminal Airport, and the city’s distinctive ensemble of Victorian. The Climate of Mumbai is a tropical, wet and dry climate. Mumbai’s climate can be best described as moderately hot with high level of humidity.

Rhythm, says: 2020

Mumbai is the city of dreams, you can find any work you desire. Rent a flat near railway station so as to commute easily. Food here is cheap and you are required to carry cash, if you want to buy from food-stalls. The temperature is mostly hot but people here love rain the most!

Prahlad, says: 2020

Consider moving to Mumbai only if you are comfortable in dealing with heavy traffic as it is a densely populated city. Rush is trains are worst during peak hours and the public commute is expensive. The best way to commute in the city is by motorcycle. If you are looking to stay here for a while then you should get yourself a motorcycle.

Adjust your expectations of space. Mumbai is a city of more than 20 million people living in, under, and on top of buildings, slum dwellings, tarpaulin tents, temples, bridges, and in one case, a burial ground. The city is one of the world’s most crowded, and has some of the world’s most expensive real estate. Pick up life tips on Mumbai’s trains. On the suburban railway network, the fastest way to get around since the British built it in 1853, you’ll see a glorious display of personal space and time management. Know your Bombay from your Mumbai. Two decades after Bombay, the city’s colonial-era name, was dropped for Mumbai—a word derived from Mumbadevi, a deity worshipped by the island’s indigenous fishing communities—what to call this city is still a heated subject.

Street food is delicious only when the street is in the food. Mumbai is essentially a culmination of khao gallis—food-lined “treat streets”—heaving with traffic, commotion, vexations, and delays.

Mainaaz, says: 2020

Mumbai is the City of dreams as we all say. The nightlife is amazing and there are many career opportunities also. People gets used to with the city too easily. I will never want to leave because it feels our own. The trains are the major reason why it is calle the city that never stops.

Mumbai is known as a City of Dreams. It’s a hub for Indian film Industry and a financial capital of the country. People say in Mumbai its difficult to get a place to say then a bread to earn. This place is famous for its local appetizer called ‘Vadapav’. The local trains here are called lifeline of locals.

The synonym for Mumbai is “Exhaustion and Experience”. This is a city full of dreams. Sometimes city may make you tired but this is he best place to make your dreams come true and achieve whatever you desire. There are lot many things a person needs to know before coming to this “DreamLand”, I’ll list out some – local trains, crowds, small places to live in, food and lot more. But it’s an amazing place one can ever dream of.

One coming to Mumbai should know the railway is our life line and one can commute easily to anywhere while beating Mumbai’s heavy road traffic. People here are full of hope and have a fighting spirit. It is the financial capital of India.

Mumbai has lot of traffic, so they must have patience and during the monsoon season they have to be careful while driving. Adding the rental cost of the apartments is very costly, so the must chose a house careful, so there is less financial drain. it isn’t necessary to their own vehicle because the local transport system is very good and fast.

Indrani, says: 2020

Mumbai has many reasons for which many people would love moving to this lovely place. It has many jobs right from working as a laborer to working with international companies. It is also known for its nightlife. There are numerous bars and restaurants for the youth. There are also numerous places of historical interest to visit during a day off. The beaches are well known and would take away one’s breath. In terms of food, due to the cultural amalgamation, there is no doubt that one would always find something to suit their palate and their mood. There are also places where one can find a cheap bargain for items ranging from fashion to technology. Transport is also fun and unintimidating. But one should always be beware of the usual cheats. Mumbai is a place where one can work and relax and enjoy themselves.

Aayushi, says: 2020

Mumbai is the “City of Dreams”. It has something special for everyone who comes here. Mumbai never stops, it’s life line is Local Train, the transport available for local commuters. Mumbai has only three weather: summer, autumn and monsoon. The good of Mumbai is vada pav. Mumbai has Bollywood i.e., entertainment and manufacturing both industries. Mumbai is not for all but for fighters and survivors.

Prajol, says: 2020

Living in Mumbai is not as easy as it looks. The temperature here reaches high as 48 degree celsius and the climate is usually humid. Travelling around Mumbai is very easy as we have buses and trains that run through the city all the way from CST to Borivali and other places like Thane and Vashi too.

Priyanka, says: 2020

Someone moving to Mumbai should have knowledge about transportation facilities available in city. He should have least information about the places which he is willing. He should keep necessary things along with him during moving to city. He should have information about the helpline numbers and services.

Ashutosh, says: 2020

You will be moving to the financial capital of India. It is the most densely populated city of India. The cost of living is one of the highest in the country. Commuting in the city is one of the most tiring and time consuming activity. Hence you should consider to live in a place near to your workplace to avoid commuting. if you save on your travel expenses, you could put that money to get yourself a decent accommodation.

Mumbai is a very beautiful city, the only thing to remember is that you would have leave home early to get anywhere because of very bad traffic. It’s also one of the most beautiful cities during monsoon. The food here is to die for, especially the street food as it’s literally got the essence of the city in it.

Someone moving to Mumbai should know it is a crowded city, to say the least, so one should expect traffic jams and big crowds everywhere they go. Another thing to consider before moving to Mumbai is that it has one of the highest real estate prices in the country and thus, living conditions in the city are hardly ideal.

Rajinder, says: 2020

Mumbai is very well known for its traffic but it’s the financial capital of India. known as Bombay (still with the locals), you may find street food ranging from full meals to snacks. In Mumbai Bollywood is not just filming industry but in itself a culture worth checking out.

Someone who consider moving to Mumbai must know that Mumbai is famous for its nightlife, Vada pav and for filling dreams of everyone. It’s called “sapno ka shehar”. Be ready to be pushed around if you’re walking in a crowded area including a market, local train, station (basically most places) etc. Nobody even cares to turn around and say sorry. One cannot travel in a taxi everyday as prices are very high.

Raghavendra, says: 2020

If you want to move to Mumbai, make sure you are prepared for the many hardships of living in one of the most densely populated cities of the world. To commute you will have to take the local trains or risk being late for work or school. But Mumbai is not the worst, once you taste the street food. The vada pav and chaat at Juhu beach will make it worthwhile.

Shitanshi, says: 2020

Things know before moving to Mumbai:
1. The city is fast moving. People are busy in their own lives.
2. Public transportation is best compared to other cities in India.
3. Living is expensive. Buying a house in Mumbai can cost you a lot.
4. Security is best compared to other metro cities in India.

A lot of things including a house maid, a movie ticket, daily food, restaurant, etc would cost 20 to 40% more than a tier-two city. Rent could be much higher depending on the location. Usually, one will have to save up for 10 to 20 yrs to buy a house. Traffic is manageable, but the roads are pathetic including the life lines like Western Express Highway (too bumpy). The government keeps congesting the city with new projects all the time. Being the commercial capital of India, more than 50% of corporate offices are situated here and it offers maximum opportunities for senior professionals.

The train services, known as the local train, that runs across Mumbai and to neighbouring districts, is the lifeline of the city. To travel in a city like Mumbai, be ready to face the crowd and rush of the city, anywhere and at anytime. And even traffic.

Even as a local of Mumbai, I use a particular app to navigate across the city: m-Indicator. This app is a must for every person moving to Mumbai to help with smooth movement across the city as it provides the schedule for local trains and buses, displays the map indicating the various stop-stations of each local train, the rates for auto rickshaw and taxis, and so on.

In the end, Mumbai being a financial capital, attracting people from across the world and country, you get to enjoy variety of foods – be it street food, north Indian food, south Indian food, continental food, east Indian food, etc.

It’s a fast-paced city, but, adventurous in its own way.

Pranamita, says: 2020

Mumbai is the financial capital of India. All major MNCs are in Mumbai. The nightlife of Mumbai is also wonderful and it also has Bollywood. If you are interested in having a place here, it’s very cost effective in the suburbs. We have excellent train connectivity across the city.

Saumya, says: 2020

Mumbai is a place where people are lively, helpful and kind. Mumbai provides many facilities such as transport, multiplexes, banking, restaurants, food corners. Museums, zoos, art galleries are various areas worth visiting. Best place with reference to nightlife. One can enjoy the clean beaches at JuJu and Chowpatty. Festivals of all religions with great fervour and enthusiasm.

Mumbai, one of the metropolitan cities in India, is the city that never sleeps. This city is known as the economic capital of India. Life in this city is extremely fast-paced with crowded allies, never-ending traffic, and public transportation that carries millions of people to and fro between their workplace and home. The hustle pattern of this city is not everyone’s cup of tea but it’s invigorating and does not let anyone’s growth remain stagnant.

Ritika, says: 2020

Expect traffic, crowd and noise. Once one gets used to this there are other things which are interesting and fun too. There are beaches, open events every weekend with many interests, caves, huge green parks, tasty road side food, etc. My favorite is that just within 2-3 hours of train journey, one can go for trekking and camping in the mountains.

Mumbai is a beautiful city but be aware of traffic and the overcrowding as time is precious you don’t really want to be late neither would you want to be crippled in traffic. There’s a great deal of good things to do around or even see.

Mumbai is popularly known as “city of dreams” but there are good and bad sides to every city in the world, first and most important never enter virar local train during rush hours, well you can enter if you seek to get a free massage. Trains during rush hours are too crowded.

1. Crowd: Mumbai is a hub, people moving to Mumbai should be ready to be pushed around if you’re walking in a crowded area including a market, local train, station (basically most places), etc. People won’t even turn around to apologize and don’t expect it from you either.
2. Accommodate yourself near your office or college.

Be prepared to have amazing street food, which is very much affordable, you won’t ever feel loneliness. Local trains and BST busses helps to move from one place to another easily. People are very kind and gentle to each other, any stranger won’t feel uncomfortable.

Don’t miss street food and be ready to get pushed around if you are walking around (crowded area) or traveling via local train. Mumbai is fun but little expensive. Know some Marathi words and phrases. And, yes, vada pav is always there for everyone on which you can always depend when you’re starving and want to save money.

Romesh, says: 2020

If someone moves here Mumbai, They should be very alert in travelling by trains, buses like it’s crowded all the time, and many pickpockets make chance to grab your hard earned Money. Be careful. But I love Mumbai as it’s called City of dreams. Night is Awesome here. Beautiful beaches surround Mumbai.

Person moving here i.e., Mumbai should know it is Capital of Maharashtra State of India. It is also termed as financial capital of the India. There are many monuments like the Gateway of India, Museum etc. tourists sites to be seen. Being the city of that importance it is overcrowded with people. The transport system like the buses and trains are overwhelmed with people.

Don’t’ be on time to anything. Everyone is always running late in Mumbai: a delayed train, a traffic snarl, power outage, taxi strike, but really, it’s the cultural permission to interpret Indian Standard Time as Indian Stretchable Time. And in case of the Street Food, it is only delicious when it is available on the streets.

Muralidhar, says: 2020

Mumbai is the financial capital of India. There are great jobs in Mumbai. It is the capital of Maharashtra and is also called “city of dreams” or “Mayanagri.” Local trains are available for public to move from one place to another. Also, it is the entertainment capital of India as many of the films are shot here.

The food is spicy, the weather is humid and surroundings are crowded. I’d also want them to be aware of the major traffic that makes commuting really tiring and hectic. It’s better if one moves close to their workplace. Other than that Mumbai is an amazing city.

Anisha, says: 2020

Mumbai has local trains, which is the mail lifeline of my city, mouth watering street food which everyone loves and the craving for food always increases and it is also the economical capital of my country. Heart of India my Mumbai, well also known as Bombay always awake never stopping never tired.

Khushboo, says: 2020

Mumbai is a crowded, fast-paced city which can be overwhelming to most people at first. The lifeline of this city is the local train service, something which you’ll be using for your everyday commute. Mumbai is the financial capital of the country with opportunity for everyone. Finally, Mumbai is home to India’s film industry.

Hasina, says: 2020

If one wants to be competent then he/she should learn to travel by local trains as they are the lifeline of the city. people here are helpful and some are scamsters so being alert is necessary. moving to the city will require you to be smart and fast.

Know he/she would need to commute a lot for travelling to their office. Most areas in Mumbai are humid, so a cooler doesn’t work, but a table fan works wonders. The rains would come only between June – September only. The hip and the posh area of Mumbai is in the western line only. The lower-middle-class people live far from these areas so as to live in lower rent houses. The flats are very small, i.e., a 1BHK is of 450 sq ft max.

Terrible traffic of city, but many of people here are very good in nature. Do whatever you want but never mess with anyone or else, you have to face a group of angry people. Mumbai has warm environment but cool breeze always flow in east side. It is a financial center, it’s India’s largest city. On the Mumbai Harbour waterfront stands the iconic Gateway of India stone arch, built by the British Raj in 1924.

The city never sleeps. Ease of commuting. Mumbai is famous for its spicy curry and road side food. Rains in Mumbai is unpredictable. Mumbai trains are always very crowded. It’s a cosmopolitan city. It’s a hub for Bollywood cinema. Mumbai believes in celebrating various festivals like diwali, holi, Eid, Christmas and other such religious events.

Tanmayee, says: 2020

Mumbai is one of the most crowded cities in India. travelling or commuting from one place to another can be quite the hustle. You better prepare yourself to be around a ton of people all the time. But apart from that, the street food here is to die for.

Someone moving to Mumbai should use public transport rather than private since there’s a lot traffic out there. The person should try the famous local dish-vada pav. Knowing the language marathi would really make all the government related work easier. To get peace and stress out one should visit the marine drive.

Mumbai is a city of dreams. People come in the search of opportunities. It is very crowded. Things here are bit expensive here compared to rest of india. The apartments are very small for a family to live, the rent for these apartments is sky high. There is always traffic on the roads during business hours. Mumbai is popular for its nightlife. Bollywood is ingrained in it. Many film stars have their lavish houses in the city.

People here are mostly literate and helpful. Mumbai is crowdy. Almost all the facilities are available. The city has employment for many migrant workers. It is known as financial capital. Here public transport is used very efficiently. Trains are always crowded. Traffic is the biggest problem here even in afternoon there is traffic. Mumbai is famous for street food especially vada pav. It is a safe city. It has many attractive and beautiful places.

A person moving to Mumbai should be ready for the crowds. The city has nearly 20 million residents. Trains are packed to thrice their capacity. There are people everywhere and at all times. Other modes of transport like buses and cabs are available but getting into them is tough. Buses are packed to capacity while cabs are difficult to get.
