One of them is the Pac Man himself, Sen. Manny Pacquiao who is a world boxing champion. We should not also forget the ever-gorgeous, Ms. Shamcey Supsup-Lee who placed 4th in Miss Universe 2015.

General Santos City or GENSAN is known as the Tuna Capital of the Philippines, as it is their main export. So much so that where everywhere else in the country tuna is expensive or hard to come by, the city is practically swimming in it. Another fun fact about GENSAN is that they also serve in select restaurants ostrich and alligator burgers. As most of these are food facts, someone who might be considering to move to GENSAN might also be a person who can be considered a “foodie”.

The weather in the city is always hot especially during summer where it reaches above normal temperature. The people are welcoming and very hospitable. Aside from tuna, General Santos City is also the home of world champions like the world boxing champion Manny Pacquiao and the Miss Universe 2011 3rd Runner Up Shamcey Supsup. Although General Santos is comprised of various cultures and ethnicities, it is proud of the harmonious co-existence of its people.
