General Santos City was named as the “home of the champions” because of the famous celebrities who brought pride to the city not just in the Philippines but in the whole world. One of them is the Pac Man himself, Sen. Manny Pacquiao who is a world boxing champion. We should not also forget the ever-gorgeous, Ms. Shamcey Supsup-Lee who placed 4th in Miss Universe 2015.

General Santos City or GENSAN is known as the Tuna Capital of the Philippines, as it is their main export. So much so that where everywhere else in the country tuna is expensive or hard to come by, the city is practically swimming in it. Another fun fact about GENSAN is that they also serve in select restaurants ostrich and alligator burgers. As most of these are food facts, someone who might be considering to move to GENSAN might also be a person who can be considered a “foodie”.
