Saint Francis is in northern Anoka County and has about 7,300 residents. Since the city is so close to larger cities with shopping centers, restaurants, and public services, Saint Francis contains little more than one grocery store, a few gas stations, and a handful of fast food chains. Though it lacks some of the popular urban amenities, Saint Francis has that small-town, greater Minnesota country culture, where neighbors know one another and residents escape from the fast-paced life of the Twin Cities.
