Kingwood is a suburban community to the north-east of Houston. With the streets and buildings surrounded by trees, bayous, and golf courses, its nickname has become ‘the Livable Forest,’ although, ironically, Kingwood originated as a suburb for Houstonians working in the oil industry. For the most part, Kingwood is residential, but there is still plenty of commercial activity, and more and more businesses are springing up yearly.

Kingwood is a suburb northeast of Houston. It was built in the 70s for people working in the oil industry. Since then it has expanded and diversified, just as Houston has. Unfortunately, the suburb’s nickname, the livable forest, is becoming less accurate.
