Raipur is a great city, especially if you’re moving in from a small town or a metropolitan since it has an eclectic vibe of a chaotic city and a small, peaceful city at the same time. You have pretty much everything in residential areas, shopping, recreation, transportation, education, etc. It depends on your choice of lifestyle and how you would like to leverage the city’s resources. Also, Raipur is pretty well connected to other cities within Chhattisgarh and outside through transportation. I love the way AAI has built the Swami Vivekanand airport, with multiple flights to Delhi, Mumbai, and Kolkata everyday. AFAIK, airlines are planning to add (or have added already?) a few international destinations, and Singapore is the first of them. In terms of shopping, you can go to Ambuja Mall, Magnetto, and City Centre. Ambuja, especially, has all the major labels in clothing, and you can find high-end stuff there. If you have recently had a breakup and need some alone time, you can check out the Naya Raipur Central Park. I haven’t been there yet, but I have heard it’s good. Do check out Telibandha lake. There’s nothing special about the lake itself, but the road strip around it probably has the best street food in Chhattisgarh.

Raipur is the capital of my state and thus is one one of the most developed cities. with robust life, locations near all amenities and great people, proper service available everywhere, beautiful scenic garden made just for the public and different sources of entertainment, it is a good place to settle.
