When considering visiting Chachoengsao, it is important to be aware that there are very few western amenities in the town. Although close to the sprawling metropolis that is Bangkok, the town feels like a remote village with very little transport options that cease to provide service once night falls. Therefore the town is most suitable for a day trip to see the majestic Wat Sothon before returning to the comfort of urban spaces.
