Someone considering moving to Conroe, Texas should think about what size city they’d like to live in. Conroe is within two hours of the beach, and it also in close proximity to Houston proper with many things to do nearby! Prior to moving, one should also consider what type of climate they would like to reside in. Conroe is humid and hot for much of the year, but the winters are mild and beautiful.

HELPFUL REPORT

Conroe, Texas lies on the outskirts of Houston, between rural and urban centers of Texas. If you venture too far in any direction, you may be met with skyscrapers or sprawling farms. This juxtaposition makes Conroe a unique place. Some areas are idyllic, nestled into the forest with babbling brooks and wild animals. Yet other areas resemble a concrete jungle with businessmen scurrying around the city.

When moving to Conroe, be aware of the weather and be prepared to dress accordingly. It is very hot and humid here. One should also be aware of the potential for hurricanes. Aside from that, it is a nice place. There are plenty of shops in the area, and the Woodlands Pavilion, a great place to see live performances.
