There is also a hotel at the State Park that has grand rooms that are perfect for booking events. Local photographers come there to take pictures for different sporting teams and events. Towards the bottom of the State Park there is lake access (which is perfect for sunny days). Some people go out on jet skis, paddleboards, intertubes, waterskis, boats, kayaks, or for a relaxing swim.

Crawmama’s is famous for its seafood being freshly caught from the coast and has live bands that perform frequently. Wildcat Cafe is where you can get some authentic southern cooking from potato joe’s to fried chicken and sweet tea and provides a huge support basis for the Guntersville Wildcats. The Rock House is where you can recieve a boujee southern dining experience with chipotle fried green beans to chicken marsala and town tea and also has a sister restaurant called Cafe 336 in Bakers on Main that offers many similar options.

El Camino Real, meaning “The Royal Road,” is a tex mex restaurant. Their cheese dip is extra ooey and gooey with yummy tacos, burritos, and enchiladas. Guntersville is known for vacation, retirement, and delicious food.

Guntersville is a small town and is known for its lake. Lake Guntersville holds many BassMaster Championships and is connected to the Tennessee Valley Authority. Many people come to the town for vacation, retirement, or delicious food. For vacation people come to stay at the State Park. The Lake Guntersville State Park has a beautiful overview that is perfect for sunsets at the top of a mountain. At the State Park there are hiking trails, ziplining, golf courses, campgrounds, kayak rentals, rv park, boat rentals, skeet shooting, buffeys, and log cabins.

For retirement, people buy houses near the lake with lake access. The real estate market is going really hot now. People can get good deals for sunset views with a beach-like feel. The houses here are perfect for the outdoors with the two most popular places: Gunter’s Landing and Spring Creek. The neighbors in Spring Creek are very friendly with nice green backyards and are located near the high school. Gunter’s Landing features a giant golf course with a local catering company and is located near an aviation center.

The home styles generally go for a cape cod or modern farmhouse vibe because Guntersville is in the south and is a resort town. People often add pools, boathouses, hot tubs, and plants for a more spa environment. Some great restaurants to check out would be Top of the River, Crawmama’s, Wildcat Cafe, The Rock House, and El Camino Real. Many people come by boat to eat at Top of the River and it is famous for its seafood featured by a beautiful lakeside view.
