Gig Harbor is one of the fanciest places in the continental United States. The nicer properties are quite expensive. The weather is extremely variable, so if you don’t like the current conditions something entirely different will be just around the corner. Motorcyclist and kayakers will love it here.

Gig Harbor is a small town that is developing into a suburb of Tacoma. The school systems are acceptable, though not revolutionary. Nothing exciting ever happens here, making it the perfect location to raise a family. Being directly on the Puget Sound allows for the picturesque water pictures and relatively short drives to nearby hikes.

You will enjoy this place if you enjoy the towering evergreen trees, the chirping melody of the birds, and serene walking paths. If you enjoy a place that is more catered for city dwellers, the downtown may be the best place. Here you will find cafes and restaurants that will cater to every taste you desire, whether that is Italian, Vietnamese, Chinese, or American.
