Frederick is an affordable bedroom community of the Baltimore/Washington DC area with a great downtown, community spirit, and recreation from the parks to the mountains, yet the city and beaches are doable as well.
Frederick is a smaller city. A great visiting attraction is the historic downtown area. The city also sits just below the Catoctin Mountain range. I would describe Frederick as the perfect balance between city-life and a more rural one. Another plus to consider, is the close distance to larger cities like Baltimore, D.C., and Rockville.
Frederick is a very beautiful, diverse, and colorful city. There are people of all religions, races, ethnicities, and backgrounds. Almost everyone here is very friendly and is willing to help you out if you get stuck. I especially love Downtown Frederick, it’s one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been to! There’s a beautiful creek, many fountains of water, and lots of flowers. Some people even go there to get their wedding pictures taken!
