Tips for Moving and Visiting

Frederick is an affordable bedroom community of the Baltimore/Washington DC area with a great downtown, community spirit, and recreation from the parks to the mountains, yet the city and beaches are doable as well.
Frederick is a smaller city. A great visiting attraction is the historic downtown area. The city also sits just below the Catoctin Mountain range. I would describe Frederick as the perfect balance between city-life and a more rural one. Another plus to consider, is the close distance to larger cities like Baltimore, D.C., and Rockville.
Frederick is a very beautiful, diverse, and colorful city. There are people of all religions, races, ethnicities, and backgrounds. Almost everyone here is very friendly and is willing to help you out if you get stuck. I especially love Downtown Frederick, it’s one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been to! There’s a beautiful creek, many fountains of water, and lots of flowers. Some people even go there to get their wedding pictures taken!
Frederick is a very historical city. The area called Old Frederick has plenty of shopping and activities. Housing prices in the city of Frederick can be very high. It is common for people to live in the less expensive suburbs and commute to work. Frederick is like a big city with a small town feel.
Frederick is a great place as it has family oriented lifestyle and great shopping and tourist spots. It is on scenic hills roughly equidistant between Baltimore, Hagerstown, and DC – making it a great place for people working in either of the cities.
Frederick is a unique and quaint town in Maryland. Living in Frederick it seems like a small town but, in reality, it is one of the largest cities in Maryland. It offers a variety of activities to participate depending on the direction you drive in while providing you with scenic views. It has easy access to places such as the Inner Harbor, Gettysburg and Annapolis.
