The Bronx has its problems in terms of crime and urban blight, but it is also the home of many beautiful locations such as the Bronx Zoo, the New York Botanical Gardens, Van Cortlandt Park, and Orchard Beach. The Botanical Gardens is especially renowned for its beautiful seasonal floral plantings and forest.
The Bronx is home to the birthplace of hip-hop, a genre of music that has entertained generations of enthusiasts. Hip-hop is celebrated around the community with cars and households constantly booming with rap and R&B on August 11th, which is widely recognized as Hip-Hop Day. Getting some fresh air is not a problem in the Bronx as it is home to Pelham Bay Park, the largest park in NYC which provides captivating views of the Long Island Sound and it is even connected to a beach called Orchard Beach.
