We believe in worshiping and practicing our old traditions. Our city has beautiful temples, gurudwaras and other holy places which one should certainly visit. The most popular among those is the Amba Temple through which the name of our city came known as Ambala. Our city is a home to all types of people from all caste and religion. The Ambala Cantonment base is a home to soldiers from many areas.

Ambala is the twin City of Haryana. Ambala is well connected to major city of India. There is famous cloth Market and science market. People of nearby state visit here for shopping and business. Ambala is a centre point for the people who want to visit shimla and other hill areas nearby.

The one moving here must be aware of that the people are not friendly enough. be self dependent. at the railway station and bus stops one must be more careful about the thugs. Always use maps on your phone to find your way and do not believe on anyone else except the police officers.

Ambala is district headquarters of Ambala District of Haryana. It derives its name from “Amba Wala” (or mango village), which existed in its vicinity. Important Ambala attractions include Rang Mahal, Gurudwara Badshahi Bagh, Gurudwara Anandpur Sahib and Paget Park. Paget Park is a famous children’s park in northern fringes of the city. It is also frequented by morning and evening walkers. In the vicinity of this park you can come across remains of St John’s Cathedral, which is designed in Gothic style. Gurudwara Badshahi Bagh is dedicated to tenth and last Sikh Guru, Guru Gobind Singh Ji.

The weather around the city is pleasant but you never know when it changes to extreme cold. Do keep warm clothes handy. there no department store near your place. The nearest is at a distance of around 10 km. Make sure you get all your essentials at one go. Though you have a chemist nearby.
