Originally constructed as a railroad depot in the mid 1870’s, Woodstock has become a warm and welcoming place for both residents and non-residents. Downtown Woodstock has been completely renovated over the last few years. It now offers a wide range of restaurants, offering cuisine such as fresh seafood, steaks, pizza, farm-to-table, and cupcakes for the dessert lovers. Additionally, there are over 30 shops where one may shop for stylish clothing, antiques, and art work.
Woodstock is in northeast Georgia. The city is flourishing and is creating a family destination, called Downtown Woodstock, complete with shopping, bars, restaurants, and playgrounds.
Woodstock, Georgia, is a suburb of Atlanta, situated northwest of the big city. Lake Allatoona is a US Army Corps of Engineers property located approximately 10 miles from Downtown Woodstock. The lake is a playground for outdoor enthusiasts, providing opportunities to do all sorts of watersports like fishing and boating.
