A person moving to Pensacola, Florida, should be prepared to live in a climate that is full of heat and humidity, nearly year-round. Being relatively close to the Gulf of Mexico, there is also a good deal of rain throughout the year. Probably, the phrase “if you don’t like the weather, wait 5 minutes” originated by someone moving to Pensacola!

Pensacola is particularly known for its beautiful beach but, visitors would be disappointed by how much rainfall there is each week. Especially during the summer. Let’s just say Pensacola residents have to mow their lawns quite frequently. However, the nearly year-round warm weather slightly makes up for that.

Pensacola is beautiful. We have a beach and a town called Gulf Breeze nearby. There are great schools in Gulf Breeze, but not as much Pensacola. Some of Pensacola us very sketchy (don’t move to that side of town), but some is very pretty and has nice things to do in your free time.

Someone moving to the city of Pensacola in Northwest Florida should know the weather is beautiful for the most part. They should also be aware that there is a risk of hurricanes from June 1st until November 30th of yearly. The housing market is increasing and the area is continuing to grow as Navy Federal Credit Union has a multi-million dollar contact center in the north side of the county which has amazing jobs for anyone interested in the financial sector. And last but not least, the beach here is beautiful and Destin, Florida, or Orange Beach, Alabama, is a short 1-hour drive away and there are water parks in both places as well.

The town is surrounded by beaches and water in general. The weather is usually humid and sunny with very little rain throughout the month, especially during summer time. The people are friendly. There is a great variety of shopping and restaurants nearby and could also be walked to. The Navy base is one of the most popular parts about the city, Pensacola.
