There are good schools in the area, several up-market shopping malls and many well-known restaurants. Plot sizes are large, at least one acre in extent, making Kloof popular with young families. There is easy access to the highway between Durban and Pietermaritzburg. The overall ambience is one of a quiet, leafy residential suburb.

Durban is a very vibrant yet subtle city. It is perfect for both introverts as well as extroverts due to its diversified areas. The transportation system in and around the city, unlike in other places, is convenient and efficient. With experience, one will also find that the municipality does quite a good job in maintaining it all round.

Someone moving to my city should know that Durban is a busy town, full of traffic but most definitely has the best job opportunities to render for a young person starting out and trying to find themselves. I can’t deny the fact that the crime rate is tremendously high though.

Durban is one of the most known cities in South Africa, with people from all over the world. It’s tourist-friendly with countless activities to enjoy. From enjoying dinner with an ocean view at Umhlanga Rocks to helicopter rides where one can enjoy the breathtaking scenery of the Durban shoreline. You may also enjoy bike-riding and ice skating in the inner-city. It is a very low-risk area so you won’t have to worry too much about your safety.

It is known a the Kingdom of the Zulus, because of the large of the large tribal population. Durban has the second largest harbor in the Southern hemisphere. The port accepts a variety of products such as; vehicles, produce as well as construction equipment.

Durban is the warmest place to be, the weather is amazing. My city is very diverse, different people all over. It is a great place for businesses as it is the centre city for KwaZulu-Natal. All types of transportation are available, namely: trains, cabs, taxis and buses. Schools and universities are very close to the city as well, 2 minutes away to be precise.

Kgodisho, says: 2020

Someone considering moving to my city must know that my city is so beautiful with beautiful beaches and very kind people. In my city, the most used public transport are taxis which travel around always. We speak IsiZulu language and English, but there some other languages from another cities that are spoken here.

Quraisha, says: 2020

It is the greenest City in the world, it has a lot of tourist attractions including the uShaka Marine world, and it very busy during weekdays especially during the mornings and evenings due to traffic because everyone is rushing to work, and parents are taking/fetching their children from school.

Someone considering moving to my city should beware of and be careful of the crime that exists. They should also know that it is a very busy and loud place and be prepared to be stuck in traffic on most days. Lastly they should know that Durban is a really fun place to be and they should expect to have an amazing time.

Someone considering moving to Durban should be aware of the weather temperature. Durban basically does not experience winter. Another thing they should be aware of is the heavy traffic in the morning and afternoons, this could affect their commuting time to work. Durban is a very lively city and you will find that there are number of activities and restaurants to choose from.

What someone should consider when moving to my city, is that it is a densely populated area. One should be prepared to encounter traffic when going to and from work. One should also be cautious and vigilant because there are a lot of crimes that happen in my area. Criminals are always lurking about.

My city is known for its beautiful weather, people go as far as saying it has two seasons; summer and summer. It’s airport is named after the greatest King to ever exist. King Shaka Zulu was known for winning many battles all over the province. Therefore you will predominantly find more Zulu speaking tribes in the province because this is the land that King Shaka conquered for his beloved nation.

Yolandi, says: 2020

It’s a busy city, it has lots of people. There are many stores for food and clothes. Transport is nearby, and the weather is always great. There is a beach nearby and there are lots of apartments to rent, they are affordable and reasonable. The people are nice too.

Durban is a natural paradise, well-known for its beautiful, sun-kissed beaches. The city is also home to one of the busiest ports in Africa. Durban accounts for 15% of South Africa’s national output, second only to Johannesburg. Shaka, the great warrior king of the Zulus (today still South Africa’s largest ethnic group) continues to spearhead Durban’s modern expansion via the King Shaka International Airport.

Wilfred, says: 2020

A diverse ethnic group wherever they shall choose to reside. Accessible forms of transportation regardless of which suburb you find yourself in and amazing cuisines. An almost year-round summer climate despite the occasional rainy season which can feel like London on most days. There is quite a couple of good shopping spots including the second largest mall in the country.

Estelle, says: 2020

Durban is very hot and humid during summer, but it’s the best place in winter in South Africa. Traffic in Durban is really bad in the business district, so it’s better to live in one of the surrounding suburbs. The beaches are gorgeous, and there is plenty to see and do there.

Shelley, says: 2020

Public transport is always late. You are required to help the elderly cross the roads. Whatever situation you’re in, never trust a street kid to help you. The best restaurants are found on Florida Road.

Lindokuhle, says: 2020

Durban is a beautiful city that’s rated as the warmest place in winter. The city is famous for its gorgeous beaches. It’s an ideal holiday destination and accommodation is in high demand during the festive season. There are many tourist hotspot and amazing shopping areas. Durban has an international airport as well.

Koketso, says: 2020

Someone moving to Durban should know living in the suburbs is exceedingly more peaceful than living in the heart of the city. They should also note that living close to the ocean is not as idyllic as it seems. I would advise an automatic transmission vehicle because Durban has many hills which increases wear and tear on a manual transmission vehicle. I would highlight that the weather in Durban is a bliss of endless summer – blue skies and sunshine throughout the year.

Durban is a coastal city with a great climate. known as the warmest place, beaches are well looked after and great for sun basking, swimming, beach bowling, and building sandcastles among others. It is considered relatively safe compared to other cities in South Africa. The Airport is 25 kilometers for the Central Business District.

Keamogetswe, says: 2020

Durban is a beautiful coastal city. Public transportation is in abundance. It has a variety of cultural groups residing here. One can find cuisine from various culture groups. Durban is the cheapest of all provinces in South Africa. The climate is moderate, sowe have summer nearly the whole year-round.

Sulette, says: 2020

If moving here was under consideration, be aware that public transport is not available. A person would need to have their own transport to commute. In addition to the above, the climate in summer is prone to high rainfall figures, which requires the use of appropriate attire.

Nomasonto, says: 2020

Durban has beautiful sunrises over the beach as you go north. It also has the highest number of Indian people outside of India. My city has one international airport and most black people in my city speak IsiZulu. My city is also known for its warm temperatures, which makes it pleasant to swim at the beach.

Ingrid, says: 2020

Durban is the largest city in KwaZulu-Natal and is famous for being the busiest port in South Africa. Durban’s harbour entrance was widened and can now take some of the worlds largest “super ships”. We have multiple tourist attractions and amazing beach fronts that will capture your heart and soul.

Omphile, says: 2020

Look for a suitable house particularly in Umhlanga as you would enjoy a nice beach view. Find a job that you are qualified for and is near to where you stay as traffic can be an issue. Have both hot and cool options for clothing as weather is unpredictable at times. Make friends with your neighbours, as crime is a ongoing issue and it can be helpful to have people looking out for you and your property.

Junaid, says: 2020

Durban is along the eastern coast of South Africa. The salty air means that cars are more likely to rust here than anywhere else in South Africa. The main beachfront promenade is called ‘The Golden Mile’, and is popular with both locals and tourists. Durban is home to the largest Indian population outside of India.
