Canberra is a big country town. With fresh air, minimal traffic and lots of parks it is a family dream location.

Canberra is a green, clean, and open city. There are many roundabouts and you will need to drive on the left-hand side of the road. With so many embassies and consulates, there are many cultural events that occur year-round. If you are moving to Canberra with children, you can be assured that the public school system is excellent and there are a vast variety of playgrounds, sports facilities, and children’s activities to choose from.

Whoever moves to my city should know our poor public transport network – and should make plans to buy their own car as soon as possible! The buses here are infrequent and unreliable; they arrive at odd times and are often filled to the brim at peak times – to the extent where you might even be refused upon entry!

One moving to Canberra must know it is a small city with inconvenient transport compared to other cities in Australia. Cities such as Sydney and Melbourne are more densely populated with more interesting activities, whereas Canberra is bland and quiet. Although, many may prefer a bland and quiet city to settle down and live a peaceful life.
