Ampang is a historic town which is also where the city centre is located. One thing you need to know about this area is that it is always jammed. The narrow three-laned roads and high vehicle per capita make rush hour a nightmare. you should try to get around the city with public transport. We have plenty of bus and train lines running throughout the city and outwards towards outskirts. It might be helpful to live near one of the transportation hubs.

Despite being a bustling city, Ampang is surrounded in lushes green hills and has plenty of parks and reserved forest for you to visit if you ever want to escape into nature. You should also make it a point to visit the hills around Ampang because you can get a spectacular view of the city skyline.

People moving to Ampang, a big and bustling city, should make themselves familiar with the public transport routes as moving around the city with a personal vehicle is tortuous and expensive due to traffic jams that plague the city even when it is not rush hour. Trains and buses run efficiently and can get you to most places inside or outside of the city centre for an affordable price; therefore, living near a transportation hub will make it much easier to travel.

Ampang started out as a mining town, and is one of the oldest in the state of Selangor. A popular place to reside if one goes to work in The Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur. Because of this, traffic is always congested despite continued efforts in improving public transport systems and gentrification.

Food services are 24/7 in my city so, there is no need to worry although feeling hungry at 2AM. Public transport is available to travel from place to place and to escape the daily traffic.
