Is Owerri boring? Is it fun? How do people relax in their free time? From playing and watching live sports to listening to live music to volunteering, here's what six local experts had to say about things to do in Owerri, Imo.

Owerri is a densely populated city. It has a very active nightlife and residents are known to like clubbing. As a result, there are lots of hotels and social clubs. Also, food prices relative to other towns and cities is fairly high as well. Finally, it rains more slightly more than other neighbouring cities.

HELPFUL REPORT

Owerri is a beautiful place with an infusion of both city and country-like scenery. It is home to several tourist sites and hangout spots where one can have a good time. In a country as culturally diverse as Nigeria, Owerri serves as a converging center for people from different tribes thereby giving an array of various unique cultures in one place. The city also has well constructed road networks that provides free flow of traffic for convenient movement around the city. If you’re looking for a city in Nigeria where you can have fun and relax Owerri is the place for you.

The person intending to move to my city should know is a city that is calm but needs a lot of focus, discipline and hardwork to thrive and survive. My city is full of distractions that if care is not taken you might come in and spend your hours and days with futile activities if you have not cultivated the discipline of focus.

Owerri is a safe place to visit and reside. The people in it are relatively hospitable. It is known for its serenity. There are quite a good number of places you can visit and have fun if you are coming as a tourist like the Oguta lake. Some of the best hotels in my country can be found in my city.

Owerri is the capital of Imo state. this is the largest city in the state surrounded by government ministries and institutions. The city is serves as tourist attraction because of so many five star hotels and with so many colleges and universities around. It is a city for businesses activities. Weather condition in Owerri is cool as temperature ranges from an average of 23-32 degree centigrade.

Owerri is a fun place. The city attracts people from other states in the country because of the entertainment centers found at every junction in the city. Workers and businessmen who close for work around 6pm always find their way to an entertainment spot to relax and enjoy themselves, while talking about their day at work.
