Is Bradford boring? Is it fun? How do people relax in their free time? From playing and watching live sports to listening to live music to volunteering, here's what two local experts had to say about things to do in Bradford, England.

Bradford has a lot of history, found both in the centre of city but also in the numerous towns and villages that surround the centre. In the city, there are several museums, and the show Peaky Blinders also used some of the historic sights and buildings to film. Travelling away from the centre, you will find the village of Saltaire built by Sir Titus Salt as a working village for his factory, which was converted to hold the David Hockney Art Gallery. If the countryside is of more interest, there are numerous walks available, and you would be able to visit the village the Bronte sisters grew up.

Bradford is a proud multicultural city. Whilst outlying wards of Bradford consist of predominantly white populations, the central wards have concentrated British Asian populations residing there. The city demonstrates a vibrant mix of culture through a whole host of fantastic restaurants, markets and festivals. Bradford however also has some of the highest levels of deprivation in the country, concentrated largely in the city centre.
