Things To Do in Chesapeake, Virginia

Chesapeake is a great city for families. I love to take our dog to various parks in the community and they’re always packed with children. Additionally, Virginia Beach is just a short drive away, and Washington DC is a quick train ride North.
Chesapeake is a city that is exceptional only in its lack of exception. An overgrown suburb humbly sandwiched between real cultural hubs, expect the expected when moving to this so-called city. The rent is too high for what you get, and the only advantage to living here is its proximity to the places you actually want to go. You want to move to Hampton Roads? Consider Norfolk instead, where you can actually find something of interest, rather than an endless expanse of chain restaurants and shopping malls.
Chesapeake is a beautiful city. We are surrounded by beautiful bodies of water, including the Chesapeake Bay, Elizabeth River, and the Great Dismal Swamp. There is something to do for everyone in Chesapeake, no matter your favorite activities. Please note, Chesapeake is the largest city in Virginia, and we have traffic to prove it!
The city of Chesapeake is mostly suburbs. The neighborhoods are very nice and relaxing. Although this city is a good choice for a quiet life, it lacks excitement due to that there is not much to do. However, the surrounding cities, such as Virginia Beach, offer a multitude of activities and fun.
