Swindon is a very practical town, lacking personal charm or character or anything that might motivate an individual to visit. However, although not a tourist destination in itself, Swindon is central to many other cities of interest in the South West of England, including Bath and Bristol. These can be reached easily by train.
Before moving to Swindon you should strongly consider if you can successfully negotiate roundabouts. There are many including the famous magic roundabout which is nerve racking to even the most skilled driver. Many of these roundabouts pose no purpose as only buses or in some cases no one is able to go anyway except straight on them.
