It has everything that one can ask for. Fresh air, beautiful natural sites, hospitable people, good food, art and culture.

One can expect very little pollution and fresh air in this city. Cost of living is also on the lower side. But the most important aspect of this city is that it is surrounded by picturesque mountains from all sides. making it a very beautiful location indeed. So i would definitely recommend this to people who want to live here.

People living here will get to witness the typical seasons and a wide variation in temperature, ranging from freezing cold in winter to heat that makes you sweat in the summers. There is a lot to look for ranging from the famous Mughal gardens to the lakes and the old city. The city is relatively small in size and going about is not a very time consuming or costly affair.

It lies in the Kashmir Valley on the banks of the Jhelum River, a tributary of the Indus, and Dal and Anchar lakes. This place is world-famous for its ski trails and mountain tracks for trekking and cycling. Majestic mountains and majestic flora and fauna make this place best for a peaceful simple life. If one can’t live here, he should at least come here for a detox trip.

In summers the place is not too humid and in winters can be a little harsh but the cold can be countered by adopting proper measures, eg warm clothing and better heating arrangements. They need to make sure that they carry some of their Winter clothings with them. As they might be aware of that Kashmir, the city I’m from, has cool temperature and especially during nights the temperature dips just too much. Though you’ll enjoy it but you still might need that warmth a bit.
