If someone were moving to Somerville, Massachusetts, I recommend that they purchase a very warm winter coat. Boston-area winters can be harsh, so it’s important to have a warm and cozy jacket to stay toasty in. I would also recommend that the mover have an interest in Boston’s rich history and fascinating present.
Somerville is close to many Red Line T stops and has pretty decent bus coverage. The Green Line is expanding outward into Somerville, which is great for commuting, especially downtown, but also means the rent prices are going up. Otherwise, Somerville has a bunch of very cute squares near the T stops, including Davis Square, which is my personal favorite.
