Benin city is the capital city of the Edo Kingdom popularly known as Edo State. For anyone moving here, the weather is normal in all seasons but rainfall can be especially high at some regions leading to flooding. Pigin and the local Benin dialect are popularly spoken by residents of the city. There are nice houses according to your taste which varies in price and these fees are affected by where they are located. Benin City is a place of commerce with less industrial settlements compared to Lagos and Ogun state. It’s peaceful but it’s not advisable to stay out late. Also, security personnel on the road can be embarrassing sometimes. There are a lot of clubs, lounges and other relaxation places to hangout. The cost of living is on an average scale and it depends on your taste.

If you’re moving to Benin City, be aware of the security nature. It’s not advisable to move about odd hours of the night around the city. The accommodation fees are at a fair price. It’s a place of commerce. They experience normal annual rainfall and dry seasons when expected.

Benin City is a beautiful and and stress free City with less or no traffic. There is no motorcycle allowed in this city. Anybody moving to Benin City should have it in mind that it is a place of so many business opportunities and will constantly experience the early morning traffic due to the hustle and bustle of market men and women trying to get to work. There are also beautiful places to visit in Benin City, and anybody moving to will surely enjoy the place.

One moving here should note that there is always a heavy flow of traffic after lunch hour, prices of commodities are a bit low and that electricity supply isn’t enough. He or she would have to get a generator as a means of alternative power. The city is relatively safe, because the law enforcement agents are always around.
