Minimize all outdoor activity in the long hot summer months taking advantage of the relatively cool of the early mornings and just about tolerable conditions after sunset to do anything outside. Spring and autumn are the best times. Winter not so bad but houses are poorly equipped for heating so moderately cool and humid conditions can feel miserably cold.
