At first Burdwan is a city enriched with historical essence. Burdwan is an anglicised version of the Sanskrit Vardhamana. It has a multicultural heritage. Rice here is the staple food and agriculture is the main source of income. The economy of modern Burdwan is growing fast. Two large development projects on public private partnership are NH2 connecting Kolkata and Delhi on which the township lies and the mini township in Goda.

Bardhaman is a small city in the state of West Bengal in India. This city is known for its old temples and monuments which were built more than 300 years ago by the then kings. Now Bardhaman city has developed so much and people from other districts come here to do their business.
