While quality of life is something of an elusive or ill-defined concept, it can be boiled down to "Is Barry a good place to live?" or "Is Barry a bad place to live?" Here's what one local expert had to say about quality of life and overall happiness in Barry, Wales.

Barry is a wonderful place. It’s on the south coast of Wales, with sweeping views across the sparkling waters of the Bristol Channel towards England and the rolling hills of Dartmoor. Barry has beaches of both golden sand and shining pebbles but if you tire of the sea you can venture inland and sample pints of foaming ale in the many beautiful country pubs nestling in the green fields of the Vale of Glamorgan. Unlike the neighbouring Welsh capital city of Cardiff, it’s also extremely affordable, with 5-bedroom Edwardian townhouses on the market for around £250,000.
