You should be prepared for hot summers and cold winters, and when choosing a place to live, be mindful of how it is oriented towards the morning sun. You will find an interesting city that offers a transition between tropical Brazil and the Spanish culture of the Plata, which is reflected in the food, music and social habits. The state of Rio Grande do Sul is home to a rich heritage of European immigration, which also adds to the mix. So, be ready for a different side of Brazil.
