The Okavango Delta is a wilderness area in Botswana. The area is within a wildlife conservancy. In my six months here, I have observed some wonderful changes, of which anyone moving here should be aware. I arrived in Botswana during a time of drought, where once there once was a bounty of water there was only barren floodplains. During the start of the rainy season, the winds were forceful and dust storms abounded. The temperatures rose to over 40C and only dipped a little at night. As winter approaches the nights and early mornings are distinctively chilly.
